ABOUT
Founded in 2013, E&A Interiors is a bespoke interior design firm known to create outstanding homes that uniquely reflect their owners’ personalities and tastes. The Singapore based studio is led by British designer, Chlöe Elkerton, who has had more than 20 years of experience in the interior design industry. Chlöe draws inspiration from her extensive travels and international background, and excels in incorporating lifestyle and experiences with furnishing, art, and unique objects. The resulting spaces are richly layered, expressively distinctive, and timeless in style.
OUR PHILOSOPHY AND APPROACH
At E&A we take a personal approach to design, and treat each client’s individual needs as the opportunity to innovate. Our intuitive design sensibilities, alongside expansive technical knowledge and site experience, help us strive for the most original solutions. Each project begins with our clients sharing their dreams and aspirations with us. With a thorough understanding of the potentials and constraints, we help materialize these visions through rigorous iterations.
While it is important that our designs are responsive to client requirements, we also prioritize creativity and originality. We appreciate the dynamic qualities of design as we continuously explore different materials and building methods. Whether in designing an entire house or a corner of a room, we always try to introduce new elements that keep our work looking fresh and interesting.
QUALITY
With great attention to detail and an interest in craftsmanship, E&A is dedicated to keeping the artisanal tradition alive. We work closely with both local and international craftsman to produce high quality carpentry, furniture, and accessories. Even though the artisanal approach is often more labour intensive in terms of design and logistics, we believe the quality and individuality of each piece is well worth the effort. From creating custom detailed joinery to upholstering difficult organic curvatures, our craftsmen are always willing to take on new technical challenges. They are also well versed in working with a wide range of materials, including ones that are more difficult to master. Over the years, we’ve developed strong relationships with many of these craftsman and we continue to be dedicated supporters of their trade.
THE TEAM
Our creative team comprises of three designers, an interior architect, and an in-house project manager from a diverse and international background. Working as a tight knit but open minded studio, we value collaboration and a fluid working style. With each team member contributing their unique set of experience, skills, and talent, and sharing an equal passion for design, we work together to deliver consistently high quality work and exceptional customer service.
